Instead of using a traditional remote control, the Carplounge Autopilot leverages the power of your Android tablet or phone, offering a seamless and advanced control system. The essential software, available for free on the Google Play Store, is compatible with any Android device equipped with Bluetooth. By connecting your tablet to the boat through a Bluetooth transmitter box, you can control your BaitBoat entirely via an intuitive touchscreen.
In manual mode, you can steer the BaitBoat just as you would with a standard remote, using the responsive touchscreen interface. The app displays real-time updates of the boat's position, route, and orientation, thanks to its built-in compass functionality. Moreover, you can use the integrated GPS to mark and name promising fishing spots, such as "jetty left," "spot 1," or "home," making it easier to return to your favorite locations.
Switch to autopilot mode, and you unlock the ability to select and combine these saved points into customized routes, complete with specific actions like opening hatches or activating lights. For instance, you can program the boat to: 1.) Navigate to "Sandbank" and open the right hopper, 2.) Proceed to "Spot 2" and open the left hopper, and 3.) Return to your fishing spot and blink once. The boat will then autonomously follow the route you've set, allowing you to manage an almost unlimited number of spots and routes. With cutting-edge technology including position and acceleration sensors, along with the latest GPS and compass systems, the autopilot ensures precise route guidance with an accuracy of less than 30cm in 90% of cases.
The Carplounge Autopilot also intelligently handles the tensioning of fishing lines during navigation, particularly when deploying two rods to different spots. The built-in electronics detect line tension and adjust the boat's course to maintain a direct path to the target, avoiding unnecessary turns and line kinks.
While the autopilot replaces the conventional remote control, we offer the flexibility to connect a traditional remote if preferred. All Android tablets with Bluetooth can be used for app control, with optimal performance on 10-inch tablets. Simply steer your BaitBoat directly from the touchscreen of your device.
