Aquarion Ascends: Polytopia Update Ushers in Marine Dominance

Midjiwan has released a major update for The Battle of Polytopia, completely revamping the Aquarion Tribe. This update overhauls the original special tribe, first introduced in 2017.

Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation

The Aquarion units now sport mermaid tails, making them amphibious or fully aquatic. This grants them effortless water traversal, although land movement is slower. A key addition is flooded terrain, allowing land and naval units to occupy the same space for the first time.

Buildings have also received an aquatic makeover. Construction on water is now possible, with Lost Cities nestled within deep-sea ruins, offering ideal watery strongholds. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops, now a permanent feature, function like their land-based counterparts.

New Aquatic Creatures

The update introduces exciting new sea creatures: Sharks unleash surprise attacks, Puffers provide long-range bombardment, and Jellies deliver electric shocks. Returning favorites, the Tridentions and Crabs, also feature improvements; Crabs now flood the tiles they cross, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid units. See them in action!

Dive into the Reworked Aquarion Tribe

Midjiwan has revitalized the Aquarion Tribe. Note that Lost Cities appear at level 3 and include a pre-built wall.
