Bullseye's Mechanics

Bullseye is a 3-cost, 3-power card with the ability: "Activate: Discard all 1-cost or less cards from your hand. Afflict that many different enemy cards with -2 Power."

This makes him a powerful addition to discard-centric decks. His activation is crucial; playing him before turn 6 is key to maximizing his effect. Cards like Swarm (reduced to 0 cost after discard) synergize exceptionally well. Other strong partners include X-23 and Hawkeye Kate Bishop. Note that Bullseye's debuff affects different enemy cards, preventing multiple debuffs on a single target.

Top Bullseye Decks

Bullseye's optimal placement is within existing discard archetypes, rather than forming the core of a new strategy. Two prominent examples are presented below:

Discard Deck (Classic):

  • Scorn
  • X-23
  • Blade
  • Morbius
  • Hawkeye Kate Bishop
  • Swarm
  • Colleen Wing
  • Bullseye
  • Dracula
  • Proxima Midnight
  • MODOK
  • Apocalypse

This deck utilizes the standard discard framework, enhanced by Bullseye. The combination of Bullseye activation with MODOK and Scorn creates significant board control. Hawkeye Kate Bishop can be substituted for cards like Gambit.

Hazmat Ajax Variant:

  • Silver Sable
  • Nebula
  • Hydra Bob
  • Hazmat
  • Hawkeye Kate Bishop
  • US Agent
  • Luke Cage
  • Bullseye
  • Rocket Raccoon and Groot
  • Anti-Venom
  • Man-Thing
  • Ajax

This high-cost deck incorporates Bullseye into the popular Hazmat Ajax strategy. Bullseye supplements Hazmat's effect, debuffing enemy cards and boosting Ajax's potential. Hydra Bob can be replaced with another 1-cost card, but other Series 5 cards are essential for optimal performance.

Is Bullseye Worth the Investment?

Bullseye's effectiveness is highly dependent on player preference for discard and affliction strategies. If you're not a fan of these archetypes, his limited utility might make him a less desirable card, especially considering alternative options like Moonstone and Aries.
