This thrilling news came during Sony's CinemaCon presentation, where they disclosed their acquisition of worldwide theatrical rights, excluding Japan, to showcase Tatsuki Fujimoto's gripping story to audiences this fall. US viewers can mark their calendars for late October, while over 80 other countries will witness the film's debut on September 24, 2025. Toho will handle the movie's release in Japan, scheduled for September 19, 2025.

The Chainsaw Man movie was first announced in December 2023 and serves as a direct sequel to the MAPPA-produced anime that debuted in 2022. It centers on Denji, a young protagonist who gets a second chance at life by striking a deal with a Chainsaw Devil dog named Pochita. This newfound power allows Denji to sprout chainsaws from various parts of his body, transforming him into the formidable Chainsaw Man.
