Clash Royale Shreds Christmas Cards for In-Game Rewards

Author:Kristen Update:Dec 31,2024

Clash Royale's research reveals a surprising truth: Christmas cards are losing their appeal. A significant portion of adults (60%) report receiving fewer cards, and a staggering 79% simply don't care. In fact, over 40% hope this trend continues into 2024.

Capitalizing on this "festive fatigue," Clash Royale is staging a fun, anti-Christmas card event in London's Boxpark Shoreditch. Attendees can shred unwanted cards in exchange for in-game rewards – a guilt-free alternative to simply discarding them.

But the Christmas rebellion extends beyond cards. Clash Royale's study shows 20% of participants are tired of Mariah Carey's holiday classic, while over 20% have publicly voiced their disdain for Christmas music or opted for beef instead of turkey.

yt The anti-Christmas spirit even extends to Clash Royale's content creators. YouTubers like Orange Juice Gaming are receiving hilariously awful gifts (think socks, oven mitts, and nail clippers!), but with a twist: the packaging contains in-game rewards for fans.
