EA's lack of interest in a Dead Space 4 sequel has been revealed by series creator Glen Schofield in a recent interview with Dan Allen Gaming. The possibility of a Dead Space 4 is currently uncertain, following EA's rejection of a development proposal from the original team. In a YouTube interview, Schofield, along with Christopher Stone and Bret Robbins, confirmed that their pitch for a new entry was unsuccessful. The conversation began when Stone recounted his son's enthusiasm for the series, highlighting the continued fan demand.

Their pitch to EA was brief, met with a polite but firm rejection. Schofield explained that EA's decision was based on their internal data and shipping priorities. Stone added that the current industry climate fosters risk aversion, making it challenging to secure funding for sequels to older franchises.

Despite the setback, the positive reception of the Dead Space remake (an 89 Metacritic score and Very Positive Steam reviews) might seem counterintuitive. However, EA's risk assessment may outweigh the remake's success.

However, the developers remain optimistic about the future of Dead Space 4. They expressed their continued enthusiasm for the project and their readiness to return to it given the opportunity. Currently pursuing individual projects, the team is not currently working together, but the desire to create a new Dead Space game persists. The hope remains that the franchise will be resurrected in the future.
