Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC – A Game-Changing Mimic Tear Secret

Many Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC players overlook a crucial detail: the Blessing of Marika can be utilized by their Mimic Tear, significantly impacting challenging boss battles. Since the DLC's release, the Blessing of Marika's utility has been debated, with many players mistakenly consuming it, believing it to be a single-use item.

The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has received mixed Steam reviews, with criticism focusing on underwhelming loot, a less-than-stellar open world in certain areas, and overall difficulty. For struggling players, the Blessing of Marika offers a significant advantage.

Twitch streamer ZiggyPrincess highlighted the Blessing of Marika's unexpected utility. Unlike the Mimic Tear's previous self-healing method (Raw Meat Dumplings, restoring only 50% HP), the Blessing of Marika provides full HP restoration.

Utilizing the Blessing of Marika with the Mimic Tear

To activate this feature, equip the Blessing of Marika in your Quick Items slot (where flasks, Spectral Seeds, and Spirit Summons are equipped). Summoning the Mimic Tear will automatically enable its use as needed. Importantly, the Mimic Tear has unlimited access to the Blessing of Marika.

The Blessing of Marika's early appearance in the Gravesite Plains of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has caused confusion. Its flask-like appearance leads many to consume it prematurely. Fortunately, multiple Blessings can be obtained; players who accidentally used their first one can acquire more by defeating a Tree Sentinel or finding it at the Fort of Reprimand.
