Author:Kristen Update:Apr 16,2025

In the thrilling world of *Call of Duty* Zombies, armor plays a pivotal role in every Operator's survival strategy. For those eager to enhance their defensive capabilities beyond the standard Tier 3 armor, a new Easter egg on The Tomb map offers a golden opportunity. Here's your guide to unlocking the coveted Gold Armor Vest in *Black Ops 6* Zombies.

What Does Gold Armor Do in Black Ops 6 Zombies?

Gold Armor, initially introduced in *Modern Warfare 3* Zombies, has become a game-changer for players tired of the constant need to re-plate their armor. This special armor automatically repairs over time, a feature that continues in *Black Ops 6*. Even if you run out of armor plates, the Gold Armor Vest will mend itself, ensuring you're never caught defenseless. This is especially crucial when facing formidable foes like Amalgams, as it helps manage resources and keeps you protected from one-hit downs.

To kick off the process, head into the Dark Aether Nexus to collect two statue heads, essential for the Blood Sacrifices needed to unlock the Gold Armor. These heads are tucked away in wooden boxes that you'll need to destroy with melee attacks. Once exposed, simply hold the interact button to pick them up.

The first box is nestled near a palm tree, in the corner closest to the green Gateway portal. The second is more conspicuous, located near the Juggernog Perk Machine on the same raised platform.

With both heads in hand, return to the Dig Site near The Tomb's initial spawn point. You'll find two Roman Statues here: one near the Ammo Cache by the door leading to the Neolithic Catacombs, and the other near the Roman Mausoleum, close to a potential Pack-a-Punch machine spawn. Interact with each statue to place the heads and repair them.

Once the heads are in place, a new UI prompt will appear, signaling the start of the Blood Sacrifice challenge.

The Blood Sacrifice is no walk in the park, spawning at least three high-value targets (HVTs) of Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. In solo play, three HVTs appear, with more in co-op based on the number of players. During the challenge, your health is locked at 1 HP, with all damage directed to your armor plates. It's crucial to start with a Tier 3 vest and ample armor plates.

Timing is key; activate the Blood Sacrifice at the end of a round to avoid additional enemy spawns. Solo players can exploit a Mutant Injection to transform into a damage-immune Mangler, timing the transformation as the challenge begins. In co-op, one player can activate the challenge while another uses a Chopper Gunner from outside the Dig Site to take down the HVTs.

After successfully completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest becomes available as a free Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.

And that’s how you secure the Gold Armor on The Tomb in *Black Ops 6* Zombies.
