HBO Exec: 'Last of Us' Likely to Run 4 Seasons

HBO's critically acclaimed The Last of Us series is poised for a four-season run, according to an executive. Francesca Orsi, an HBO executive, hinted at a four-season plan for the hit show, clarifying that while there's no finalized plan, a three-season continuation beyond the current season is anticipated. "It's looking like this season and then two more seasons after this, and we're done," Orsi told Deadline.

Regarding the highly anticipated Season 2, premiering in April 2025, Orsi teased the introduction of intriguing factions vying for survival. She highlighted their unique visual presentation, stating, "There's a certain way [the show] is presenting them in wardrobe and makeup that feels really different than the average person."

Catch up on Season 1 before Season 2 premieres in April! Unlike Season 1, which adapted the first game, Season 2 will expand upon The Last of Us Part II, spanning multiple episodes. Season 2 will introduce several new characters, including Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Tati Gabrielle as Mel. Catherine O'Hara's role remains shrouded in mystery.
