ICE on the Edge – Anime-Inspired Figure Skating Simulator

Melpot Studio has released the first trailer for its upcoming figure skating simulation game, ICE on the Edge, launching on PC via Steam in 2026. This innovative game blends vibrant anime-inspired visuals with incredibly realistic skating choreography, developed in collaboration with professional figure skaters.

In ICE on the Edge, you become a coach, nurturing the talents of your skaters. Your responsibilities are multifaceted: crafting winning performance routines, selecting music, designing costumes, and choosing the technical elements that will set your skaters apart. Your ultimate goal? Guide your athletes to victory at the prestigious fictional competition, "On the Edge." The game's choreography boasts input from renowned Japanese figure skater Akiko Suzuki, who also worked on the anime series Medalist.

Remarkably, the developers embarked on this project with limited figure skating knowledge. However, their dedication to mastering the sport's complexities is evident. They meticulously researched every detail, from the subtle differences between jumps to the intricacies of the scoring system, ensuring an authentic and immersive gameplay experience.

Combining stunning anime art with realistic skating mechanics, ICE on the Edge promises to enthrall both gamers and figure skating enthusiasts.
