"Life is Strange Series May End Soon"

According to the latest financial report from Square Enix, the game Life is Strange: Double Exposure has unfortunately been a financial disappointment for the company. This revelation was made by Square Enix's president during a recent briefing on the company's performance. The financial setbacks from Double Exposure were somewhat mitigated by cost-cutting measures and the successful launch of the Dragon Quest 3 remake. However, the specific sales numbers for the latest Life is Strange installment have not been disclosed, further underscoring its lackluster commercial performance.

The disappointing outcome did not come as a shock to many, especially given the lukewarm reception from the franchise's dedicated fanbase when the game was first announced. Despite high hopes that the project would resonate with fans, the end result fell short of expectations. The game's closing credits included a teaser stating that "Max Caulfield will return," but given the current circumstances, the likelihood of furthering the storyline appears increasingly doubtful.

During the financial report presentation, Square Enix opted not to provide additional comments. It's clear, however, that the company considers Double Exposure a "significant loss," a designation previously applied to games like Guardians of the Galaxy and certain entries in the Tomb Raider series, which also struggled commercially. This situation casts a shadow over the future of the Life is Strange franchise.
