David Hayter, the iconic voice of Solid Snake and Big Boss, used his Bluesky account to wish fans a Happy Snake Year, highlighting the auspicious timing with the upcoming Metal Gear Solid release. With a new game on the horizon, 2025 promises to be a significant year for the legendary character. Hayter will reprise his role as Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

Konami cleverly acknowledged this coincidence with a celebratory video on YouTube. The video featured Taiko drummers and a calligraphy artist creating the kanji for "snake," culminating in a bold "SNAKE YEAR" announcement.

Since its May 2024 announcement, accompanied by a trailer and Tokyo Game Show demo, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has remained relatively quiet. However, producer Noriaki Okamura recently spoke to 4Gamer, emphasizing the development team's dedication to delivering a high-quality, polished game in 2025 – a significant challenge they're tackling head-on.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a remake of the 2004 classic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, is slated for release in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Expect next-gen enhancements, including the return of Phantom Pain mechanics, updated voice acting, and new dialogue from the original voice cast.
