Capcom recently unveiled a detailed Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, revealing exciting updates and additions to the latest installment in the Monster Hunter series. Title Update 1, set to launch on April 4, 2025, will be a free update for all Monster Hunter Wilds players, accompanied by a variety of both free and paid DLC. This update promises to enrich the game with a new hub for hunters, fresh armor and cosmetic options, and the introduction of formidable new monsters.

We've now got a clear roadmap for the upcoming updates in Monster Hunter Wilds. Which aspect of Title Update 1 are you most excited about? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

PlayA New Hub For Hunters ---------------------

The showcase kicked off with an introduction to the new endgame hub, the Grand Hub, designed to enhance social interactions among hunting parties. Here, players can enjoy a range of activities including feasting, arm wrestling, and listening to the Diva's nightly performances. There's also a fun Barrel Bowling mini-game, which offers vouchers and other rewards. The Grand Hub unlocks at Hunter Rank 16, accessible by speaking to Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.

Mizutsune Arrives

A major highlight of Title Update 1 is the arrival of Mizutsune, the bubbly monster known for its swift tail strikes and powerful water jets. Players can encounter Mizutsune in the Scarlet Forest by reaching Hunter Rank 21 and speaking to Kanya for the quest. Successfully hunting Mizutsune will also provide materials for crafting new gear.

Additional Hunts on the Way

New challenges await with the introduction of an Event Quest featuring Arch-tempered Rey Dau, a step above the usual Tempered fights. Players at Hunter Rank 50 or above can take on this formidable foe in the quest, with new armor as a reward for those who triumph. Additionally, Zoh Shia, previously a one-time fight in the main story, will be available for repeated battles through new quests, also at HR 50, with new armor to craft.

Arena Quests

Speedrunners will find their niche with the new Arena Quests, designed for competitive play. Both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests will be available, with participants earning pendants for their efforts. These quests can be accessed through the counter in the Grand Hub.

Change Alma's Outfit

Alma, the dedicated handler, is getting a stylish upgrade with new cosmetic options. Players can customize Alma's appearance through a new menu at camp, with one outfit available for free. Completing a specific side mission will also unlock the option to change Alma's glasses.

More DLC is on the way

Alongside Title Update 1, a mix of free and paid DLC will be released. Free additions include classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games, while the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 offers new looks for Alma and other cosmetic items, available through the store or with the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition. New stickers and more are also on the horizon.

More Event Quests and Seasonal Events

The game will see the addition of more Event Quests and Seasonal Events, with the Grand Hub transforming during these special times. The first Seasonal Event, the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, starts on April 23, featuring pink cherry blossoms and new decor. Capcom has confirmed that most past events and quests will return in the future.

The Roadmap Ahead

Here's the rollout plan for Title Update 1 and its related content. U.S. players will see the update on April 3, followed by the Blossomdance event on April 22. The challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau arrives on April 29, with additional features and a Capcom collaboration set for the end of May.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2

The showcase concluded with a sneak peek at Title Update 2, slated for this summer. While no specific date was given, a teaser image hinted at the return of Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, promising more thrilling encounters.
