In a statement to Eurogamer, the developer reiterated its previously announced independent publishing strategy, citing ongoing discussions with various partners for potential collaborations. The company emphasized its appreciation for its business partners and commitment to transparency regarding its progress.

A public demonstration of Crimson Desert is planned for November at G-Star. Pearl Abyss clarified that no release date has been set, and any reports to the contrary are purely speculative. A playable build will be shown to media this week in Paris.

September investor meetings revealed Sony's attempt to secure PS5 exclusivity for Crimson Desert, potentially delaying or preventing its release on Xbox. However, Pearl Abyss opted for self-publishing, believing it to be the more financially advantageous approach.

While the final platform lineup and release date remain unannounced, a launch on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox is anticipated around Q2 2025.
