People Can Fly, renowned for developing Bulletstorm and co-developing Gears of War: E-Day, has recently inked a deal with Sony Interactive Entertainment to work on a new game, codenamed Project Delta. According to a report released by the studio, Project Delta is set to be developed as a work-for-hire, although specifics about the project remain undisclosed.

Currently, People Can Fly is juggling multiple projects, each with intriguing codenames. Alongside Project Delta, they are working on Project Gemini in collaboration with Square Enix, which unfortunately saw the layoff of 30 developers last year. They are also involved in Project Echo with Krafton, Project Red, which appears to be another project with Sony, and the VR game Project Bison. Notably, People Can Fly announced just yesterday that Project Bison would mark their final venture into VR gaming.

In recent updates, the studio had to suspend work on Project Victoria last December and scale down Project Bifrost. Earlier, in April, they decided to cancel Project Dagger, which was planned as an action-adventure game in partnership with Take-Two Interactive.

Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly remains busy with a total of eight known ongoing projects. This includes the much-anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, developed in partnership with The Coalition, though a release date has yet to be announced. On the other hand, the Square Enix collaboration, Project Gemini, is slated for a 2026 release.
