Pokémon Go is bringing back the Bug Out event with Sizzlipede’s debut this time

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 18,2025

Get ready for the return of the Bug Out event in Pokémon Go! This exciting event, running from March 26th to 30th, introduces Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch, alongside a surge of Bug-type Pokémon. Expect wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and fresh challenges.

Lure Modules will be key during the Bug Out event. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but catching enough Pokémon at a single PokéStop using a Lure Module will significantly increase the number of Pokémon appearing there. Trainers will also enjoy 2x XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with increased Candy XL chances for those level 31 and above. Shiny hunters, rejoice! Your chances of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are boosted.

The wild will be teeming with Bug-type Pokémon including Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep an eye out for a possible Cutiefly encounter!

Raids will feature Sizzlipede in one-star raids alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor take over three-star raids. Complete event-themed Field Research tasks for Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.

Don't miss the free Timed Research with encounters featuring Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, plus a Lure Module. For even more rewards, a paid Timed Research option (priced at $2 or local equivalent) offers Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor encounters, two Premium Battle Passes, and an extra Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges await, rewarding you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters. PokéStop Showcases will highlight event Pokémon. And finally, grab the new Sizzlipede Boots and Scolipede Jacket from the in-game shop!
