After the recent acquisition of Pokémon Go developer Niantic by Scopely, the company behind Monopoly Go, fans have expressed significant concerns. Worries about increased ads, data privacy, and potential changes to the beloved game have been circulating widely. However, a new interview with Michael Steranka, a product director at Pokémon Go, featured on Polygon, aims to alleviate these fears.

In the interview, Steranka speaks highly of Scopely and emphasizes that both companies share similar visions. He assures fans that intrusive ads are highly unlikely to be introduced into Pokémon Go under Scopely's ownership. For players concerned about privacy, Steranka firmly states that Niantic will not share or sell player data to third parties.
