Pokémon Gold & Silver 25th Anniversary Merch Arrives at PokeCenters in JapanCelebrating 25 years of Pokémon Gold & Silver! A limited-edition merchandise line is launching this month at Pokémon Centers in Japan.

Pokémon Gold & Silver's 25th Anniversary Merch: November 23, 2024 Launch

The Pokémon Company has announced a special merchandise collection to mark the 25th anniversary of Pokémon Gold and Silver. The range includes home goods, apparel, and more, hitting Pokémon Center stores in Japan on November 23, 2024. International availability hasn't yet been confirmed.

Pre-orders begin November 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. JST via Pokémon Center Online and Amazon Japan.

Prices range from ¥495 (approx. $4 USD) to ¥22,000 (approx. $143 USD). Highlights include:

  • Sukajan jackets (¥22,000): Featuring Ho-Oh and Lugia designs.
  • Day bags (¥12,100)
  • 2-piece plate sets (¥1,650)
  • Stationery, hand towels, and other items.

Pokémon Gold and Silver, originally released in 1999 for the Game Boy Color, revolutionized the Pokémon world with innovative features. The games, critically acclaimed for their advancements, introduced an in-game clock affecting Pokémon appearances and events. They also expanded the Pokémon universe with 100 new Gen 2 Pokémon, including Pichu, Cleffa, Hoothoot, Chikorita, Umbreon, Ho-Oh, Lugia, and many more. A remake, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, was released for the Nintendo DS in 2009.
