Pokémon Go Celebrates Holiday Cheer

Pokémon Go's Holiday Part One event kicks off December 17th and runs through the 22nd, bringing festive cheer and exciting bonuses! Expect double XP for catching Pokémon and halved egg hatching distances. Several Pokémon will sport holiday attire, including a debuting costumed Dedenne (with a shiny variant possible!), and a first-time appearance for Shiny Sandygast.

Wild encounters will feature Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka, while raids offer a diverse lineup. One-star raids include festive Pikachu and Psyduck, three-star raids feature a holiday-themed Glaceon and Cryogonal, and Mega Raids spotlight Mega Latias and Mega Latios. Seven-kilometer Eggs hold the possibility of hatching Hisuian Growlithe or a ribbon-adorned Cubchoo.

Players can earn rewards through event-themed Field Research tasks and a paid Timed Research option. Collection Challenges return, rewarding Stardust, Poké Balls, and Great Balls for catching and raiding. Don't forget to check out PokéStop Showcases to display your festively dressed Pokémon! Free in-game items are available via redemption codes.

The Pokémon Go Web Store offers two limited-time deals: the Ultra Holiday Box ($4.99) with storage upgrades and Rare Candies, and the Holiday Part 1 Ultra Ticket Box ($6.99) including event access and a Premium Battle Pass. Stock up on resources to fully enjoy this festive event!
