How to Redeem Preorder Bonuses in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

If you've pre-ordered *Assassin's Creed Shadows*, you're in for a treat with some exclusive in-game goodies to claim right at the beginning of your adventure. Here's how to unlock and enjoy your pre-order bonuses in *Assassin's Creed Shadows*.

How to Start Thrown to the Dogs in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

If you've pre-ordered the game, you'll have access to a special quest named "Thrown to the Dogs." This quest becomes available as soon as you gain control of Naoe and are introduced to the vast open-world.

To kick things off, follow the quest marker on your map to a dog. Your task is to trail the dog to a farm. Here, you'll need to search for a key hidden beneath a house. Once you've secured the key, head back to the grave site where you first met the dog. Completing these steps will not only endear the dog to you but also mark the quest as completed.

Finding the key might be tricky. Look for a small crawlspace at the base of the house. Naoe can go prone and squeeze through to retrieve the key. It's easy to overlook, so keep your eyes peeled.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Preorder Bonuses

Upon successfully completing "Thrown to the Dogs," you'll unlock your pre-order bonuses, which include:

  • Tsuki-maru as a pet at the Hideout
  • 1,000 XP

While the bonuses might seem modest, they're still valuable. Tsuki-maru adds a charming touch to your Hideout, and the 1,000 XP is a significant boost early in the game. This XP can translate into a few Mastery Points, allowing you to experiment with new skills, though remember, you'll need to increase your Knowledge to unlock more advanced abilities.

And that's all you need to know about redeeming your pre-order bonuses in *Assassin's Creed Shadows*. For more tips and detailed guides on the game, including what happens when you climb the torii gate and a comprehensive list of all main quests, be sure to check out The Escapist.
