Get ready! Smite 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular MOBA, launches its free-to-play open beta on January 14th, 2025. This marks a significant milestone for the Unreal Engine 5-powered game, initially unveiled in 2024 after a decade-long wait.

This open beta will feature a wealth of new content, including:

• Aladdin: The first God from the Tales of Arabia pantheon, debuting alongside the beta launch. This Magical Assassin and Jungler boasts unique wall-running and lamp-trapping abilities.

• Returning Favorites: Popular Gods from the original Smite, such as Mulan, Geb, Ullr, and Agni, are making a comeback with updated skill sets.

• Expanded Roster: The God roster will expand to nearly 50 by the end of January 2025, offering a wide range of mythological figures and deities. The open beta will initially include 20 Gods featuring the innovative "Aspects" system.

• New Game Modes: Experience the thrill of Joust (3v3) and Duel (1v1), both set in an Arthurian-themed arena with teleporters and stealth grass.

• Aspects System: This unique feature allows players to modify a God's abilities, trading one aspect for a powerful alternative. For example, Athena can forgo her ally-shielding teleport for a foe-weakening one.

• Quality-of-Life Improvements: Smite 2 is receiving a significant boost in user experience with additions like Role Guides, helpful in-game messages, PC text chat, improved item stores, and detailed death recaps.

• Esports Debut: The first Smite 2 esports tournament finale will be held at the HyperX Arena in Las Vegas from January 17th to 19th.
