Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2: A DRM-Free Experience

Saber Interactive has officially confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will launch without any DRM (Digital Rights Management) software. This announcement addresses a common concern among gamers regarding performance impacts and potential compatibility issues often associated with DRM. The game's upcoming September 9th release will be free of Denuvo or similar technologies.

The FAQ released by Saber Interactive clarifies not only the absence of DRM but also the lack of microtransactions impacting gameplay. All in-game content and features will be available to all players. Any future additions will be purely cosmetic and purchased separately.

While the game will be DRM-free, it will utilize Easy Anti-Cheat software on PC to combat cheating. This anti-cheat solution has faced scrutiny in the past, notably in relation to an Apex Legends hacking incident.

Furthermore, Saber Interactive has stated that there are no current plans for official mod support. Despite this, players can still anticipate a range of exciting features including PvP arena combat, a horde mode, and a comprehensive photo mode. The focus remains on delivering a complete and enjoyable gaming experience without the constraints or potential drawbacks of DRM.
