All Side Story Locations in Split Fiction

While Split Fiction boasts a primarily linear co-op adventure, it cleverly incorporates numerous optional Side Stories, offering some of the game's most memorable moments. Although not essential to completing the main storyline, these detours are highly recommended. This guide details their locations.

Chapters 2 through 5 each feature three Side Stories (12 total). While optional, these unlockable sequences—which include becoming pigs and participating in a deadly game show—add significant depth to the experience. Completing all 12 unlocks an achievement, ensuring you experience everything Split Fiction offers.

Side Story Locations:

Chapter 2:

• Legend of the Sandfish: Appears naturally after completing the "Rush Hour" section. Unmissable.
• Farmlife: Located in "Streets of Neon," after crossing a small barrier, before reaching the elevators on the left.
• Mountain Hike: Found in "Big City Life." Reach the Port-A-Potties, have Mio enter one, and use Zoe to throw her to the opposite ledge with a ladder. Have Mio drop the ladder for access.

Chapter 3:

• Train Heist: In "Lord Evergreen," on a ledge reachable via wall-running while navigating the water with a plank.
• Gameshow: Located in "Walking Sticks of Doom," on a platform after the side-scrolling section; requires minor platforming.
• Collapsing Star: Found in "Halls of Ice," on the main path through the palace. Difficult to miss.

Chapter 4:

• Kites: Located at the end of the long tube in "Toxic Tumblers."
• Moon Market: In "Test Chamber," on a left-hand ledge after the crane sequence, accessible via platforming.
• Notebook: Found in "Soaring Desperados." After obtaining the jetpack, hover to the left of the giant wheel.

Chapter 5:

• Slopes of War: Located in "Water Temple." Solve the lever puzzle to the left after crossing the golden balls, following the dragon hatching sequence.
• Space Escape: Found in "Craft Temple." After defeating the dragon, use Mio's glide and Zoe's roll to reach a ledge, then have Mio drop a column for Zoe to climb.
• Birthday Cake: Located in "Treasure Temple," to the left after completing the soul puzzle.

Completing all 12 Side Stories automatically unlocks the "Bookworms" achievement.
