How To Study a Historical Display in The Sims 4 Blast From the Past Event

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 05,2025

Week 2 of The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents a puzzling challenge: studying a Historical Display. This guide provides a step-by-step solution, addressing common issues encountered by players.

A museum in The Sims 4 showcasing a historical display.

Locating a Historical Display:

The Week 2 quest requires interaction with a Historical Display, found within museums. While multiple museums exist, the Municipal Museum in Willow Creek and The Future's Past in Oasis Springs are conveniently located near other event tasks. Identify these buildings on your map by their pillar icon.

Studying the Display:

Upon entering a museum, locate a painting or sculpture (both qualify as Historical Displays). Click on the chosen item and select the "View" option. Successful interaction will be indicated by the appearance of the Emit icon.

Troubleshooting Common Issues:

Many players report difficulties with the "View" option, often attributed to conflicting mods. If you encounter this problem, consider temporarily disabling mods to see if this resolves the issue. If the problem persists, try interacting with multiple displays in different museums. EA's awareness of this issue is hoped for, pending a future patch.

Completing the Historical Display task is just one step in Week 2's challenges. The full list includes:
