Top Pokémon TCG Arceus Ex Decks

The arrival of Arceus Ex in Pokémon TCG Pocket has shaken up the meta, introducing powerful synergies and exciting new deck-building possibilities. This legendary Pokémon, immune to status conditions thanks to its ability, boasts the devastating Ultimate Force attack—dealing 70 damage plus an additional 20 for each Pokémon on your bench. A fully powered Arceus Ex can unleash a whopping 130 damage!

Arceus Ex's power is amplified by eight Pokémon from the Triumphant Light expansion, each possessing a unique "Link" ability that activates with Arceus Ex or a regular Arceus in play: Carnivine (Power Link), Heatran (Speed Link), Abomasnow (Vigor Link), Raichu (Resilience Link), Rotom (Speed Link), Tyranitar (Power Link), Crobat (Cunning Link), and Magnezone (Resilience Link). Crobat, Magnezone, and Heatran stand out as particularly potent partners.

Crobat (Dark Energy) Deck

This deck utilizes Crobat and Arceus Ex as its primary attackers. With Arceus Ex in play, Crobat's Cunning Link ability inflicts 30 damage to the opponent's Active Pokémon, even from the bench. Its base attack of 50 damage for one Dark Energy makes it a formidable complement to the three-energy Arceus Ex. A fully powered Arceus Ex on the bench allows for free retreats with Crobat, enabling devastating 130-damage attacks. Supporting Pokémon like Farfetch'd and Spiritomb add pressure and bench damage control, respectively, while Cyrus facilitates strategic knockouts.

Deck List: 2x Arceus Ex, 2x Zubat (Triumphant Light), 2x Golbat (Genetic Apex), 2x Crobat, 1x Spiritomb, 1x Farfetch’d, 2x Professor’s Research, 2x Dawn, 2x Cyrus, 2x Poké Ball, 2x Pokémon Communication

Dialga Ex/Magnezone (Metal Energy) Deck

Here, Arceus Ex leads the charge, supported by both versions of Magnezone. The Triumphant Light Magnezone benefits from a -30 damage reduction with Arceus Ex present, while the Genetic Apex Magnezone delivers 110 damage after utilizing Magneton's Volt Charge ability. Strategic evolution timing is crucial for the Genetic Apex Magnezone, as it cannot be powered by Metal Energy. Skarmory, along with Giant's Cape and Rocky Helmet, enhances survivability and allows for a strong bench presence to maximize Arceus Ex's damage output.

Deck List: 2x Arceus Ex, 2x Dialga Ex, 2x Magnemite (Triumphant Light), 2x Magneton (Genetic Apex), 1x Magnezone (Triumphant Light), 1x Magnezone (Genetic Apex), 1x Skarmory, 2x Professor’s Research, 2x Leaf, 2x Giant’s Cape, 1x Rocky Helmet, 2x Poké Ball

Heatran (Fire Energy) Deck

This aggressive Fire-type deck employs a rush-down strategy, leveraging Heatran, Rapidash, and Farfetch'd for early-game pressure while simultaneously powering up Arceus Ex on the bench. Giant's Cape protects Heatran and boosts Arceus Ex's HP above 150. Heatran's Ragin' Fury attack deals 80 damage with two Fire Energy if already damaged; otherwise, it inflicts 40 damage. Arceus Ex's free retreat ability allows for flexible Pokémon swaps.

Deck List: 2x Arceus Ex, 2x Heatran (Triumphant Light), 2x Ponyta (Mythical Island), 2x Rapidash (Genetic Apex), 1x Farfetch’d, 2x Professor’s Research, 1x Blaine, 1x Cyrus, 1x Dawn, 2x Giant’s Cape, 2x Poké Ball, 2x X Speed

While these are currently some of the strongest Arceus Ex decks, the meta is constantly evolving. Expect new strategies and deck variations to emerge as players explore the full potential of this legendary Pokémon.
