A new attachment in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the Buffer Weight Stock, is significantly boosting the power of certain weapons. However, acquiring it isn't straightforward. Here's how to unlock and equip this sought-after attachment.

Unlocking the Buffer Weight Stock

Unlike most attachments earned through gameplay progression, the Buffer Weight Stock is unlocked via the "Hit List" event. Access the "Event" tab in the Black Ops 6 Multiplayer main menu. Within the "Community" section, you'll find the Buffer Weight Stock; simply viewing this page unlocks it. The community-driven unlock requirement (a massive number of eliminations) has already been met.

Equipping the Buffer Weight Stock

While unlocking the attachment is easy, its use is restricted. The Buffer Weight Stock is compatible with only three weapons: the XM4 Assault Rifle, the DM-10 Marksman Rifle, and the XMG Light Machine Gun. This limitation prevents the attachment from dominating gameplay. Its significant accuracy boost, however, makes it a highly desirable addition for these specific weapons.

To equip it, navigate to the Gunsmith for your chosen weapon (XM4, DM-10, or XMG). Select the "Stock" attachment slot and choose the Buffer Weight Stock. Now you're ready to utilize its advantages and contribute to unlocking further Hit List rewards.
