Pokémon Sleep players have a reason to celebrate! As of December 3rd, 2024, the mischievous Sneasel and its evolved form, Weavile, are now available to befriend. This guide will explain how to add these icy-clawed Pokémon to your team.

Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile

Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series games, you might expect to find them in a snowy location. In Pokémon Sleep, however, they're classified as Dark-type Pokémon. This means you can find them in two locations:

• Snowdrop Tundra: Their primary habitat, reflecting their icy nature.
• Greengrass Isle: Surprisingly, they also appear on this starter island, making them accessible to all players regardless of game progress.

Need to change islands? Utilize the EZ Travel Ticket to relocate your research to either Snowdrop Tundra or Greengrass Isle.

Sleep Types and Evolution

Both Sneasel and Weavile share the "Dozing" sleep type. Increasing your chances of encountering them requires setting your sleep type to Dozing.

Sneasel is the easier of the two to find initially. To evolve it into Weavile, you'll need 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. Note that even after evolution, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.

Are Sneasel and Weavile Worth It?

As Dark-type Pokémon, Sneasel and Weavile collect Wiki Berries, making them valuable additions to your Snowdrop Tundra team. They also provide an "Extra Tasty" boost to your dishes. Their ingredient requirements include sought-after items, so a well-equipped Sneasel or Weavile is a significant asset.
