Vampire Survivors PlayStation Update Announced

Vampire Survivors is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5! UK developer Poncle has offered an update on the highly anticipated ports, originally announced for Summer 2024.

Released in December 2021, Vampire Survivors quickly gained popularity for its addictive top-down gameplay. Following a successful Nintendo Switch port, PlayStation gamers will soon join the fray. While a precise release date remains unconfirmed, Poncle assures fans it will be shared as soon as possible. The delay is attributed to the studio's unfamiliarity with PlayStation's submission process and the intricacies of implementing the Trophy system. Given the game's over 200 Steam achievements, creating a satisfying Trophy experience is a priority.

Poncle's transparency has been well-received by fans, many expressing excitement at the prospect of earning a Platinum trophy. This coveted achievement, awarded for completing all trophies, represents a significant accomplishment in the PlayStation ecosystem.

The recent May releases of the "Operation Guns" DLC (inspired by Konami's Contra) and Hotfix 1.10.105 further enhance the Vampire Survivors experience. Operation Guns introduces new Contra-themed biomes, 11 characters, 22 automatic weapons, and classic Contra music. The hotfix addressed bugs in both the base game and the DLC.
