"World of Warships Legends Launches Legend of Wukong Event for Lunar New Year"

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 02,2025

As we mentioned with Sky: Children of the Light's Lunar New Year-themed event, the traditionally gloomy month of January is getting a vibrant boost from the festivities surrounding this calendar event. Even the usually serious world of naval combat in World of Warships Legends is joining the celebration with a Sun Wukong-themed event that's sure to excite fans!

Sun Wukong, the legendary monkey king from the classic novel Journey to the West, takes center stage in this year's Lunar New Year event. Known widely across Asian literature, it's no surprise that Wukong has been chosen as the highlight for World of Warships Legends' festive update.

In addition to the other content rolling out in this update, including a campaign for the French Tier VII Premium battleship Picardie, the Lunar New Year event introduces Wukong as a commander guise available for all nations. Alongside him, you'll find his Pan-Asian Tier VII Premium cruiser Wukong, as well as various skins inspired by characters from the novels.
