Сheaters in Black Ops 6 kick players, Activision made false claims about fixing the issue

A video showcasing a tool allowing hackers to remove players from Black Ops 6 matches emerged online in late January. Activision responded, stating the footage was from the Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta and that the vulnerability was patched before the game's November release. They affirmed their commitment to investigating such reports, emphasizing the video doesn't reflect the current game state.

However, players dispute Activision's claim, citing recent videos demonstrating the tool's continued use. One such video shows the program functioning during a match on the Nuketown map, a location added to Black Ops 6 a week post-launch.

Black Ops 6 achieved top-selling game status in the US last year, according to Circana analysts, continuing the Call of Duty franchise's 16-year reign at the top of the US gaming charts. Meanwhile, EA Sports College Football 25, released in July, claimed the title of most-played sports game in the US.

Despite a 1.1% year-over-year decline in overall US gamer spending in 2024, Circana attributes this to reduced hardware demand, noting a 2% and 6% increase in spending on add-ons and services, respectively. The second season of Black Ops 6 and Warzone 2, featuring a ninja theme and a Terminator crossover, launched January 28th.
