How to Play Okey Game

Okey is traditionally played with 4 players. Each player is equipped with a cue stick to help sort their tiles. The game includes tiles in four colors: Red, Black, Yellow, and Blue, numbered from 1 to 13, along with two fake Okey tiles. In total, there are 106 tiles.

At the start, all tiles are shuffled and automatically distributed to players. The player next to the dealer receives 15 tiles, while the others get 14. Players then organize their tiles according to their cues, forming groups of pairs or sets.

Undistributed tiles are placed in the center of the table, with one open numbered tile serving as the indicator stone. The tile matching the indicator's color and number is the Okey Stone, which can be used as any tile in the game. Completing the game with an Okey tile doubles the points earned.

Normal Tile Arrangement

Players aim to arrange their tiles into at least three pairs. Pairs can be formed in two ways: sequentially by color or by grouping the same number across different colors.

Pair Formation

To finish the game, players must form all tiles into pairs, achieving seven pairs, and then drag the last remaining tile to the center of the table.

Indicator Rule

At the start of a new game, the player next to the dealer reveals the indicator tile. If it matches the Okey color, other players lose 2 points.

End of Game

The game ends when a player discards their last tile. If it's not an Okey, it's a normal finish, deducting 2 points from others if non-Okey colored, or 4 if Okey colored. Completing the game with seven pairs deducts 4 points from other players. Achieving a color finish, where all tiles are the same color and in order from 1 to 13, reduces other players' scores to zero. An irregular color finish deducts 8 points from others.
