If you enjoy outdoor activities or travel and need an excellent GPS tracker compatible with Open Street Maps or Google, this app is for you! Record GPS tracks, analyze statistics, and easily share your adventures with friends! Geo Tracker can help you:

• Navigate unfamiliar areas without getting lost.
• Share your routes with friends.
• Import routes from GPX, KML, or KMZ files.
• Mark important or interesting points along your route.
• Locate points on the map using coordinates.
• Showcase your accomplishments with colorful screenshots on social media.

View your tracks and surroundings using OSM, Google Maps, or Google/Mapbox satellite imagery for detailed worldwide coverage. Map areas are cached for offline use (OSM maps and Mapbox satellite images work best offline). GPS signal is required for tracking and statistics; internet access is only needed for map downloads.

Activate navigation mode while driving for an automatically rotating map that simplifies navigation. The app can record tracks in the background (may require additional system configuration on some devices; in-app instructions are provided). Background power consumption is optimized for all-day recording. An economy mode is also available in the app settings.

Geo Tracker calculates the following statistics:

• Distance traveled and recording time.
• Maximum and average speed.
• Time and average speed while in motion.
• Minimum and maximum altitude, altitude difference.
• Vertical distance, ascent, and ascent speed.
• Minimum, maximum, and average slope.

Detailed speed and elevation charts are also available.

Recorded tracks are saved as GPX, KML, and KMZ files for use in other applications like Google Earth or Ozi Explorer. Tracks are stored locally and are not transferred to any servers. The app is ad-free and does not collect your personal data. Voluntary donations are accepted to support development.

Useful tips & tricks for resolving common GPS issues:

• Allow sufficient time for GPS signal acquisition after starting tracking.
• Restart your smartphone and ensure a clear view of the sky (avoid obstructions like buildings or forests).
• GPS reception varies due to weather, season, satellite positioning, and environmental factors (buildings, forests, etc.).
• Enable location services in your phone settings.
• In phone settings, enable "Automatic date & time" and "Automatic time zone" under "Date & time." Incorrect time zones can affect GPS signal acquisition.
• Disable airplane mode.

If problems persist after trying these tips, uninstall and reinstall the app.

Note: Google Maps uses GPS data and additional location data from Wi-Fi and/or mobile networks.
