Alan Wake 2 Tops 2 million Sales and Finally Starts Turning a Profit

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 12,2025

Alan Wake 2 surpasses 2 million global sales, exceeding initial projections. This figure significantly builds upon the 1.3 million units sold between October 2023 and March 2024, a period during which Remedy Entertainment celebrated it as their fastest-selling title.

Remedy's recent financial report to shareholders highlights this achievement, attributing it to the game's success alongside the launch of the Lake House expansion and the Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition. This milestone signifies the game has reached profitability, generating royalties after covering development and marketing expenses.

The studio also offered updates on upcoming projects. Control 2, developed in collaboration with Annapurna, is nearing completion of its pre-production phase and will commence full production by the end of February 2025. Simultaneously, the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake is progressing steadily in its full production stage.
