First Bird Pokémon Lands in Pokémon GO at Catch Mastery Event!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to with an array of exciting events on the horizon. Currently, the game is buzzing with the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery event, and now, the Catch Mastery event is set to join the fun as a thrilling subset of the Might and Mastery festivities.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event will take flight from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time, spotlighting Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. During this event, you'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, with the exciting possibility of encountering their Shiny forms.

Archen won't just be fluttering around in the wild; it will also be available as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny variant. To sweeten the deal, the event offers generous XP bonuses, doubling your XP for Nice Throws or better, and for Curveball Throws.

For those eager to dive deeper, the event includes Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, leading to a total of 40 Archen encounters. It's a fantastic opportunity to master your catching skills and bolster your Pokémon collection.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon

Following closely, the Mega Absol Raid Day is scheduled for March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol called Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will permanently gain access to this powerful move, delivering 55 power in Trainer Battles and a whopping 65 power in gyms and raids.

To make the most of this event, from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. Additionally, you'll have the chance to obtain up to five extra free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, allowing for a total of six passes for the day.

If you're yet to join the Pokémon GO community, you can download the game from the Google Play Store and start your adventure today.
