Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, unveils his latest creation, MindsEye, in a captivating PlayStation State of Play showcase.

The newly released trailer for MindsEye offers a glimpse into this cutting-edge spy thriller, drawing noticeable parallels to the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Expect thrilling third-person gunfights, stunning cinematic sequences, and intense drive-by shootings. Witness the action firsthand in the cinematic trailer below.

Official press materials reveal MindsEye follows Jacob Diaz, a protagonist equipped with a neural implant – the MindsEye – which has fragmented his memories, leaving him with disorienting flashbacks from his military service. His journey unfolds as he embarks on a mission to uncover the truth about his past, confronting an AI-powered military force determined to obstruct his path.

MindsEye has been in development for several years. Following his departure from Rockstar Games, Benzies established Build a Rocket Boy, collaborating with IO Interactive (Hitman developers) on this ambitious project. Advertised as a AAA action-adventure title, MindsEye will also integrate the Everywhere platform, previously described as a "high-budget Roblox" following a studio visit in 2024.

While the new trailer omits mention of Everywhere, MindsEye itself promises an exhilarating action experience from a leading figure in the gaming industry. The game is slated for release sometime in Summer 2025.
