Harrison Ford, the iconic actor behind Indiana Jones, has praised Troy Baker's portrayal of the beloved character in the video game "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle," humorously noting, "You don't need artificial intelligence to steal my soul." In an interview with The Wall Street Journal Magazine, Ford expressed his satisfaction with Baker's performance, emphasizing that talent and creativity are sufficient to bring characters to life without relying on AI. "You can already do it for nickels and dimes with good ideas and talent. He did a brilliant job, and it didn’t take AI to do it," Ford remarked.

Released in December, "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" is described as an "authentic" addition to the series, though it may not be considered part of the official canon. This release followed the 2023 film "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny," which did not receive the warm reception that the game did. The positive response to the game might encourage the franchise's creators to explore new directions, potentially moving away from having Ford reprise his role.

Ford, known for his roles in "Star Wars," "Indiana Jones," and upcoming Marvel projects, joins a growing list of creatives voicing concerns about the use of AI in media. Other notable figures like Tim Burton, who finds AI-generated art "very disturbing," and Nicolas Cage, who views it as a "dead end," share similar apprehensions. Additionally, voice actors such as Ned Luke from "Grand Theft Auto 5" and Doug Cockle from "The Witcher" have criticized AI's encroachment into their field. Luke has spoken out against chatbots using his voice, while Cockle acknowledges AI's inevitability but warns of its dangers, suggesting that such technologies could undermine voice actors' livelihoods.
