Leaked 2005 James Bond audition tapes surface online, showcasing Henry Cavill's impressive performance. The footage, found on the Ron South YouTube channel, also features auditions from Sam Worthington, Rupert Friend, and Anthony Starr.

Games Radar reports on the discovery, highlighting Cavill's audition as particularly noteworthy. Many, including Casino Royale director Martin Campbell, believe Cavill would have been a superb James Bond, with Campbell describing the audition as "tremendous." While Campbell favored Cavill, the final decision ultimately went to Daniel Craig.

Cavill later fulfilled his spy ambitions in the film Argylle, starring alongside a celebrated cast including Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, and Catherine O’Hara. Despite the star-studded lineup, the film received mixed reviews, scoring a disappointing 4/10 on IGN.

Cavill maintains a successful and diverse acting career, notably portraying Superman for DC, Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's The Witcher, and numerous other iconic roles.
