Hoshimi Miyabi helped Zenless Zone Zero set a new revenue record

HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.

According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4 introduced new playable characters, Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa (the latter offered free to all players as a promotional incentive), alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all contributing to the surge in player spending. The Hoshimi Miyabi character banner was particularly impactful on revenue generation.

Remarkably, the 1.4 update sustained player engagement far beyond the typical post-update trend. Instead of the usual decline within a week, daily revenue remained above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and even surpassed $500,000 after two weeks.

While Zenless Zone Zero's success is undeniable, it still lags behind HoYoverse's other flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
