Mask Around: A Gooey Sequel That Packs a Punch

Mask Around, the sequel to 2020's quirky roguelike platformer Mask Up, is now available on Google Play. This time around, the signature yellow ooze returns, but with a significant upgrade: the addition of 2D shooting mechanics.

Remember the original Mask Up? You started as a puddle of yellow goo and evolved into a… well, a buff pile of goo. Mask Around retains that core gameplay, but adds a dynamic new element. Players can seamlessly switch between ranged combat and close-quarters brawling, utilizing their goo abilities strategically.

Resource management remains crucial. The precious yellow ooze is still in limited supply, demanding careful consideration, especially during challenging boss encounters. Running out at the wrong moment could be disastrous.

More Than Just Goo

Mask Around represents a substantial evolution from its predecessor. The enhanced gameplay provides a deeper, more strategic experience. It's no longer simply about maintaining your goo meter; it's about mastering the timing of its use and effectively utilizing weapons when resources are low. The visuals have also received a noticeable polish.

While an iOS release hasn't been announced, Android users can download and experience the improved gameplay immediately. Even without having played the original, Mask Around appears to be a significant advancement, expanding upon the original while retaining its unique charm.
