Netmarble’s Beat 'Em Up King Of Fighters ALLSTAR Is Shutting Down Soon

Netmarble's popular action RPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is set to conclude its run this year. The official announcement, appearing on Netmarble's forums, confirms the game's shutdown date as October 30th, 2024. In-app purchases have already been disabled, ending on June 26th, 2024.

The closure comes after over six years of service, during which the game delivered numerous high-profile fighting game crossovers, building upon the legacy of SNK's King of Fighters series. Despite generally positive player reviews, praising its animations and PvP modes, the developers hinted at a potential shortage of characters to adapt as a contributing factor to the shutdown. However, this is likely only part of the story, with other undisclosed reasons contributing to the decision.

The game did experience some challenges, including optimization problems and occasional crashes, leading to player frustration. Nonetheless, King of Fighters ALLSTAR achieved millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store.

Players still interested in experiencing the game have approximately four months remaining to enjoy its legendary matches. Download it from the Google Play Store before the servers shut down in October.
