Point-And-Click Mystery Game The Darkside Detective Is Now Out, Along With Its Sequel A Fumble in the Dark

Akupara Games has been prolific lately, releasing several titles. Following their recent deck-builder, Zoeti, comes The Darkside Detective, a puzzle game, and its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both released simultaneously!).

Exploring the World of The Darkside Detective

The game opens on a misty, ominous night in Twin Lakes, a city where the strange, supernatural, and utterly absurd are commonplace. Players control Detective Francis McQueen and his partner, the endearingly clumsy Officer Patrick Dooley, as they navigate the underfunded Darkside Division of the Twin Lakes Police Department. Nine quirky cases await, immersing players in the hilarious and bizarre world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty sequel.

These point-and-click adventures present a diverse range of challenges, from time-travel puzzles and monstrous tentacles to uncovering carnival secrets and battling mafia zombies. See the action for yourself in the trailer below!

The game is a vibrant homage to pop culture, brimming with references to classic horror films, sci-fi series, and buddy cop movies. Case titles alone are captivating: Malice in Wonderland, Tome Alone, Disorient Express, Police Farce, Don of the Dead, Buy Hard, and Baits Motel.

The game's humor is a standout feature, infused into every pixel. The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. A Fumble in the Dark can be played independently of the prequel, also available on Google Play.
