Stellar Blade Shift Up Slips Up with DLC UpdateStellar Blade's recent update, introducing a highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, unfortunately shipped with some critical bugs. However, developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix.

Game-Breaking Bugs and the Upcoming Hotfix

Patch 1.009, while delivering exciting new content, also caused game-breaking issues. Players reported softlocks during a specific main quest in an earlier dungeon, preventing progression. Additional problems included game crashes when using the Photo Mode's selfie camera and rendering issues with new cosmetic items on Eve.

Shift Up advises players to avoid forcing quest progression and wait for the hotfix. Attempts to circumvent the bugs might lead to permanent softlocks, even after the patch is released.

NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements

Stellar Blade Shift Up Slips Up with DLC UpdateThe 1.009 update brings a significant collaboration with NieR: Automata, a game that heavily influenced Stellar Blade's development. Players can find Emil, a NieR character, within Stellar Blade's world to acquire 11 exclusive collaboration items. This collaboration, a testament to the mutual respect between Directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro, adds a unique dimension to the game.

The much-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges further enhance this feature. Four new outfits for Eve and a new accessory (unlocked after completing a specific ending) modifying Tachy Mode's appearance have also been added. Further customization options include a "No Ponytail" setting. Additional improvements include lip-sync support for six languages, enhanced projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functionality for the instant death skill, and various minor bug fixes.
