Ubisoft Remains Active on Future Driver Projects

Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show AdaptationUbisoft has officially confirmed to Game File the cancellation of its live-action Driver series adaptation. Initially announced in 2021 for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, the project was part of Ubisoft's broader initiative to expand its game franchises into new media. As stated by Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik, the goal was "to bring our games to life in new and exciting ways and create content set in the world, culture, and community of gaming."

The collaboration ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a movie-related subsidiary (named after the Driver protagonist), in January. A Ubisoft spokesperson stated to Game File, "We are no longer moving forward with our partnership with Binge for a Driver series."

However, Ubisoft reassures fans that they are "actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise" and look forward to future announcements. Specific details remain undisclosed, but further Driver updates are promised.
