"Wukong Sun Blasts onto Nintendo Switch"

The gaming world often sees projects attempting to capitalize on the success of popular titles. However, Wukong Sun: Black Legend goes beyond mere inspiration; it exhibits significant similarities to Black Myth: Wukong, raising concerns about potential copyright infringement. The visual style, the protagonist wielding a staff, and the plot summary strongly resemble Game Science's acclaimed game.

Currently available for pre-order on the US eShop, the game's future is uncertain. Given the apparent plagiarism, Game Science could pursue legal action for copyright infringement, leading to the game's removal from the platform.

Wukong Sun: Black Legend's description reads: “Embark on an epic journey to the West. Play as the immortal Wukong, the legendary Monkey King, fighting for order amidst chaos, powerful monsters, and deadly dangers. Explore a story inspired by Chinese mythology, featuring intense battles, stunning locations, and legendary enemies.” This echoes the core premise of Black Myth: Wukong.

In contrast, Black Myth: Wukong, an epic adventure rooted in Chinese mythology from a small Chinese studio, unexpectedly soared in popularity, topping Steam charts. It boasts exceptional detail, engaging gameplay, and challenging yet accessible combat—a souls-like experience with a surprisingly low barrier to entry.

The combat system and progression are thoughtfully designed, avoiding the need for extensive guides while still demanding strategic thinking. Visually, the battles are breathtaking, showcasing fluid animations. The game's greatest strengths lie in its captivating setting and stunning visual design, creating a truly immersive and unforgettable fairy tale experience. Many gamers believe Black Myth: Wukong deserved a "Game of the Year 2024" nomination at The Game Awards.
