Zenless Zone Zero: Future Patch Cycles Leaked (Exclusive)

Zenless Zone Zero: Upcoming Updates and Extended Patch Cycle

A recent leak suggests Zenless Zone Zero's current patch cycle will extend beyond initial expectations, concluding with Version 1.7 before the launch of Version 2.0. This revelation comes less than a year after the game's successful debut, a year that saw not only a Best Mobile Game nomination at The Game Awards but also a growing player base and a notable collaboration with McDonald's.

The game's consistent addition of new features and characters with each patch has kept players engaged. While Version 1.4, featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, recently launched (and addressed some initial fan concerns regarding censorship), anticipation is already high for Version 1.5. This update promises two new playable S-Rank units – Astra Yao and Evelyn – a new area, and a potential skin for Nicole Demara. Leaked information points to Astra Yao's potential as a strong support character, encouraging players to prepare materials in advance.

According to reliable leaker Flying Flame, the projected update schedule is as follows:

Projected Patch Cycle:

  • Version 1.7, concluding the current cycle.
  • Version 2.0, initiating a new cycle.
  • Version 2.8, concluding the second cycle.
  • Version 3.0, and beyond.

This extended cycle, potentially ending with Version 1.7, contrasts with other HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, which completed their first cycles with Version 1.6. This longer cycle could significantly increase the game's overall content. Further fueling excitement, the same leaker indicates that 31 additional characters are planned for future updates, a substantial addition to the current roster of 26.

With Version 1.5 on the horizon, offering a new story chapter, events, and the highly anticipated new units and area, players have much to look forward to in the coming months. While Version 1.7 remains some time away, the leaked roadmap paints a picture of a game committed to providing a wealth of content for its players.
