Recent leaks suggest exciting additions to Zenless Zone Zero, including new skins for popular characters Astra Yao and Ellen Joe. While these skins may not be immediately available in the upcoming 1.5 update (releasing January 22nd), their presence in leaked beta data strongly hints at their future arrival.

The 1.5 update itself is packed with content, introducing two new playable characters – Astra Yao and her mysterious bodyguard, Evelyn (both S-Rank units) – and a main mission centered around Astra Yao's introduction. This update marks Astra Yao's highly anticipated debut, following her initial reveal at The Game Awards 2024.

Leaked screenshots reveal Astra Yao's new skin, a striking all-white dress with puff sleeves, a significant departure from her usual attire. The leak, corroborated by multiple sources, also points to a new skin for Ellen Joe. This is particularly interesting given Ellen's launch-day debut, and the lack of a dedicated Agent Story thus far; fans have eagerly awaited more content featuring her and her connection to the shark Thiren.

While the timing of the Astra Yao and Ellen Joe skin releases remains uncertain, the 1.5 update is expected to offer a new skin for Nicole Demara, an A-Rank unit. There's speculation that Nicole's skin might be obtainable for free through a limited-time event.
