Cyberpunk 2077 got patch 2.21, added NVIDIA DLSS 4 and got even more technologically advanced

CD Projekt RED has recently rolled out an exciting update for Cyberpunk 2077, bringing not just a slew of fixes but also integrating cutting-edge NVIDIA technology. This update marks a significant enhancement for players, especially those with GeForce RTX graphics cards.

One of the standout features of this update is the introduction of DLSS 4 support. Starting January 30th, owners of the GeForce RTX 50 series will benefit from this technology, which is designed to generate multiple additional frames, significantly boosting performance. DLSS 4 also accelerates the creation of an extra frame on both RTX 50 and RTX 40 series cards, all while using less memory, making for a smoother gaming experience.

For all GeForce RTX card users, the update now allows you to choose between the convolution neural network model and the innovative transform model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA. Opting for the transform model promises enhanced lighting, finer details, and more stable imagery, elevating the visual quality of Cyberpunk 2077.

In terms of stability, the developers have addressed issues causing interference and crashes on in-game screens when DLSS ray reconstruction is active. Moreover, the "Frame Creation" parameter now updates correctly even after resolution scaling is disabled, ensuring a seamless experience.

Key Changes in Update 2.21 for Cyberpunk 2077

  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from talking to certain vendors, improving in-game interactions.
  • Resolved an issue where the sound of TV news programs was either missing or too quiet, enhancing the auditory experience.
  • Addressed a glitch causing Johnny to appear less frequently in the passenger seat, making his presence more consistent.
  • Corrected a bug that led to the disappearance of some items when the player used the hide feature on nearby characters, ensuring item integrity.
  • Fixed a game freeze that occurred when entering photo mode and simultaneously accessing a closet or stash, improving gameplay flow.
  • Enhanced Photo Mode by allowing players to include Nibbles and Adam Smasher in shots when Vee is in the air or water, offering more creative freedom.
  • Improved the feature that alters Adam Smasher's facial expressions, adding depth to character interactions.

With these updates, CD Projekt RED continues to refine Cyberpunk 2077, making it a more immersive and technically advanced gaming experience, especially for those leveraging the power of NVIDIA's latest technologies.
