Applin Debuts in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries Await!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event is set to bring a delightful twist to your gameplay, featuring the much-anticipated debut of Applin. Whether you're a dedicated collector or on the hunt for those elusive shiny Pokémon, this event is not to be missed. Dive in to learn all about what's in store.

When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and continues until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight? The debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. For Appletun, the same number of candies but with 20 Sweet Apples is required. And for its final evolution into Dipplin, and eventually Hydrapple, the journey continues.

The Apples, crucial for Applin's evolution, will appear in the wild. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering Apples increase significantly around Mossy Lure Modules, so be sure to use them strategically.

Did You Know?

Applin is a unique Pokémon that spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself to evade bird Pokémon predators. It's not just a strategic survivor; Applin is also one of the cutest additions to the Pokémon GO roster.

The Sweet Discoveries event also introduces new avatar items in the in-game shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Plus, enjoy the event bonus of 2× Candy for every Pokémon you catch.

During this event, keep an eye out for increased chances to encounter Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Additionally, your odds of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs are boosted.

Another sweet feature of the event is the berry drops from catching Delibird or Skwovet, adding an extra layer of rewards to your adventures. If you haven't yet, grab Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join the fun.
