On January 19th, 2025, Capcom's German Twitter (X) account announced ongoing performance improvements for Monster Hunter Wilds. Currently, the minimum GPU requirements are an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. Success in lowering these requirements would make Monster Hunter Wilds accessible to a much broader player base with lower-end hardware. To further assist players, Capcom plans to release a free benchmarking tool to help determine optimal settings and PC compatibility.

Capcom acknowledged these concerns on November 1st, 2024, promising fixes for issues like afterimage noise in the final release. They confirmed the game is significantly improved compared to the beta. A second open beta, featuring Gypceros and a new monster, is scheduled for February 7-10 and 14-17, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Whether the recent performance improvements will be fully implemented in this beta remains to be seen. For more details on Monster Hunter Wilds, check out our other articles.
